Echo Sonnet No. 11
May 9, 2020
No one else made me suffer so much
Once I was away for over two weeks
Raged at me for leaving you in a clutch
You tried to ruin my days by piques.
I’ve two gifts, one above the other below
Both use language that is quite cunning
But which is from where I don’t know
Used to persuade you to me keep coming.
Together we went to a city built on sin
Piercing blue house, saw every flower
Paid the right price for food and old gin
Held hands from canals to iron tower.
I remember everything you did with me
Good and bad, each a precious memory.
