Easu’s children

The train whistles in the night air
I know it is getting closer.
There’s no promised land on Earth
Only the dark of the grave waits.
Heard the siren’s song before
Speaks of love but acts with malice
Why break bread with those that eat you
With bellies that never fill?
Sold your children’s heritage
Eagerly bow to cheap virtue
To all the youths that oppress them
Over them emotions rule.
Having lost God and tradition
They have nothing of the spirit
So abase themselves and grovel
To live just one more day as worms.
